It's March 26, Friday and we're parked beside the Columbia River at Boardman Oregon. Our trip so far has been right on schedule.
3/24 Wednesday. Departed home and had a nice drive to Centralia. Checked in at Brazel's RV about 1500. Very neat little RV park at the repair facility. Susan and I drove about a mile to the Gray Wolf Lodge-WOW!!!!!!!!! What a kid place. The entire hotel is a kid place. There is a HUGE water playground with pools, fountains, slides, and more. There are also areas with video games, movie and large tvs, snacks, and who know what all. We had a nice half hour or so just watching the hundreds of kids.
3/25-Thursday. I spent the day in Olympia at my Public Disclosure Commission meeting. A couple of fairly high interest items, but the meeting was over by shortly after 2PM. It was bill signing day for the Governor and PDC had a couple of small bills up for signing so a couple of us went over to the Gov's office to represent the Commission. As always on a bill signing day there were a large number of legislators, staff, and lobbyists gathered outside the Gov's office waiting to be in attendance when she signed whatever bill they were interested in. I got to visit with quite a few old friends from the legislature so that was worthwhile.
Susan spent the day visiting with Tawnya (my former legislative assistant) and having lunch with Terry Lind ( a friend from Whidbey now living in Olynmpia). She met me at the capitol building and we returned to Centralia around 4 or a little after.
Brazels was just about finished the work on our motor home when we arrived and the manager (Chris) said he would move it from the shop to our parking spot when they finished if we wanted to leave for awhile, we went to the Mcminnimins Olympic Club bar, watched the game, and had burgers and beer for dinner. A very pleasant evening. On the way back to Brazels it was pouring rain and I was not looking forward to hooking up the power and water in the rain. Nice surprise-Chris had not only moved our rig to the spot, he had hooked everything up and turned on the lights for us.
3/26 Friday. After a very drive south to Portland and then east along the Columbia wie stopped at Boardman, Oregon, as planned. It is a nice sunny afternoon, Susan is outside reading in the sun, I'm going to join her.
Extra nice RV park operated by the port of Boardman. Right on the river with full hookups, even has good wifi.
